Advanced Business Computing was originally founded in 1990 by Technical Consultants Nick Smallwood and Mike van Lokven, with a vision to service a wide variety of business needs. Nick previously worked for McDonnell Douglas Information Systems on main frame and PC technology, then additional business training added to his professional expertise. Mike came from a Civil Aviation background, being successfully involved in aircraft ground related services and project management.
Initially the company was focused on DOS and UNIX business information systems. Back then the choices were more limited, but we knew we needed to make Information Technology accessible to the average business. So we offered our clients exceptional business consultancy at an affordable cost, without compromising the quality of equipment and fit for purpose business processes.
A lot has changed in our industry since 1990. Constantly evolving technology has allowed us to have a larger toolkit in our arsenal to be able to meet the needs of each unique business.
